Pillars of the New Albertanism #4

#4 Wishes to see Alberta flourish as a leader among other nations.
Although relatively small in land-mass, Alberta has had exponential growth in its influence throughout the global community. Although relatively young, Alberta has quickly earned a voice in the most significant corridors of power.
By combining keen productivity and an esteem for moral integrity, Alberta has been a model for other nations who wish to better themselves, rather than bolster their elites.

Perhaps that is why there is a rush to critique our positions? Although I agree with your outlook Alberticus, I highly doubt you will convince someone from Ontario or Quebec to share that vision.

Thanks for the note Aizlynne,
The criticism will continue to come from Ontario and Quebec which is why Alberta must look beyond the current borders to 'other nations'.
Alberta needs to act more and more like an independent nation until such time as Albertans choose to take that step in earnest.

I don't know why Alberta has been branded backward by the eastern left establishment. Alberta has always produced new innovative technology, agriculture and particularly practical populist political movements. Innovation and social populism blow east from Alberta like a winter chinook...its just that smig self interested political cartels back east repackage our ideas an sell them as their own.

Is it the United Empire Loyalist strain in Ontario that produced an attitude of complacency which clings to the status quo?
Alberta's pioneering spirit seems more consistent with the American Revolutionary impulse.
